Penguin

Norwegian wood was an interesting read and helped with my picture research. I picked the image on the cover for 3 reasons: 1. Toru is at a metaphorical crossroads in his life where he needs to make a choice, 2. His favourite song is a Beatles song, which reminds me of when the beetles crossed Abby Road in 1969, 3. The image is of a very famous crossroad in Tokyo, Japan called the Shibuya crosswalks, Toru is from japan. It was through this research I realised the links between them, which is why I think this is a good image to use on the cover.
